It’s getting to that time of year where you crave that type of food that gives you warming, comforting feeling! Who doesn’t like this kind of food at this time of year? So I thought I’d share with you, a comforting bolognese recipe involving Sacla pesto.
Spaghetti bolognese is a family favourite in many households! And the best part, its a relatively easy dish to make and doesn’t need a huge amount of ingredients! Just follow these easy steps to make:
200g lean beef mince
1 glass of red wine
400g chopped tomatoes
1 pot Sacla Nduja pesto (if you like it a bit spicy like me!) or sun dried tomato pesto
200g spaghetti or tagliatelle
Dice the onion and cut the mushrooms into quarters. Blitz the tomatoes in a blender to a paste.
Add a dash of oil to a pan and fry the onion, garlic and mince on a medium heat until starting to brown.
Add in the chopped tomatoes, red wine, Worcester sauce, chorizo & pesto. My preference is for the slightly fiery Nduja pesto! Simmer until cooked through. Add a sprinkle of mixed herbs for flavour. Cook the tagliatelle or spaghetti in boiling water according to packet instructions.
Serve with spaghetti or tagliatelle & enjoy with a side of garlic bread. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese as required.
If you’re a fan of spaghetti bolognese, this recipe will be right up your street! It’s one of the tastiest bolognese’s I’ve tried (I might be a tiny bit biased)!
