We’ve all seen the do-it-yourself teeth whitening kits available in high street stores, but just how good are they and do they really work? In this post I put the White Glo Diamond series Advanced teeth whitening kit to the test.
The Diamond white system is peroxide free whitening system developed by Dentists to remove stains and yellowing on tooth enamel without abrasion. In the set you get:
- Whitening gel (50ml) enough for 35 applications
- Instant fit mouth tray
- Professional choice toothpaste
How to use it
Apply a thin amount of the whitening gel to the top and bottom of mouth tray and place into your mouth for 5-15 minutes. Repeat daily for 7 days and brush every day with Bonus white glo toothpaste. It is supposed to be able to lift stains and yellowing of teeth without abrasion.
The mouth is easy to fit and doesn’t need to be warmed up in warm water like some teeth whitening kits. It’s soft flexible material is intended to mould to your mouth. I can’t say it’s the most comfortable of things to wear, it is better and easier to use than the type that comes as separate upper and lower trays. Be sure to rinse your mouth with water after each use.
How did I find it
After using the whitening gel for a couple days, I experienced some sensitivity on my teeth that I’d not had before. I gave it one more day but the sensitivity remained, so unfortunately had to stop using it. After using a handful of times, I did notice my teeth were very slightly lighter, although this is very hard to see from the photos. I’d love to find a home teeth whitening kit that doesn’t cause any sensitivity.
