Ski Trip Preparation With a Personal MOT

If you follow me on Twitter, chances are you’ll of seen my many tweets from my skiing trip in Italy, stay tuned for a review post coming soon! Skiing can be quite a physically demanding sport, especially if tackling the more challenging red and black runs!

Before going skiing, I always step up my fitness as a full day on the slopes, never mind a week can really take it out of you! ‘Legs day’ is the perfect way of helping to prepare those skiing legs before you go!  It’s just as important to make sure your general health is in good shape too, especially when going on a skiing holiday. What better time to undergo a personal MOT just like you would on your car?

Lights

Visibility is essential for everyday life and to make sure you can see down the pistes! An eye test will make sure your eyes are in good shape.

Steering and suspension

It’s important to make sure your joints and muscles are in top condition, doing regular stretching and exercise can help stretch out any knots and prepare your body for the rigorous slopes!

Bodywork

What man doesn’t take pride in their appearance? Looking after your skin is really important in cold and wintry conditions when skiing. Quality skincare products like my recent review are a must.

Fuel system

Checking for leaks is important. 1 in 4 older men over the age of 40 are affected by urine leakage, yet its seen as a taboo subject men are reluctant to talk about. The Tena men absorbent protector can help mop up any drips and dribbles which some older men may experience.

Emissions

To help maintain a healthy body, our immune system needs to be looked after and help you to perform at your peak at maybe break that PB! Green tea is filled with antioxidants and nutrients, just whats needed for a healthy immune system.

Tyres

Checking your blood pressure and tracking you fitness is important for a healthy lifestyle. A Fitbit can help track your fitness and such a good thing to have on the slopes to monitor calories burned, distance covered and even help wake you up after apres ski drinks!

Have you given yourself a personal MOT recently to make sure your personal health is on point?
