I don’t know about you, but there’s so many different parts of the UK, I’d like to visit! I’ve been lucky enough to have visited some of the top 20 best cities to visit in the UK, Liverpool being one of them! It’s a city full of culture and character with so much to see and do, it was even named the European Capital of culture in 2008. For me, there are a few must visit places; Albert Dock, Merseyside Maritime Museum, The Beatles Story & no trip would be complete without a bit of retail therapy and some good food and drink which can be had at Liverpool One.
With over 170 shops, bars and restaurants, Liverpool One has something for everyone! For the retail therapist enthusiasts, head to Paradise Street, for all the high street favourites such as H&M and Zara, St Peter’s Lane is home to high end goods like Hugo Boss and Flannels and centre is even home to two of the biggest UK department stores, Debenhams and John Lewis. After a hard day’s exploring the cultural sites of the city, you’ll be sure to want to refuel. What better way than to visit one of the Liverpool restaurants found between the Terrace and Hanover Street.
There’s something to cater for all tastes, from casual to fine dining, date night or family friendly. The range of dining options is also wide ranging including Italian, Japanese, Mexican and cuisine from all over the world! Foodie’s like myself are really spoilt for choice!
With so much choice, its hard to pick one, but for me personally, Reds True Barbecue is one of the best restaurants at Liverpool One. It’s definitely the original and best American barbecue restaurant! My personal recommendation is to keep it simple and go with Red’s pulled pork & slaw, £9.99 which comes with 2 sides. Don’t forget the sauces…. South Carolina BBQ is the best! The root beer is a really good choice to help wash it all down. And if you can manage it, the Red’s classic chocolate peanut butter cheesecake, £4.95 is definitely worth trying!
If you fancy chilling out after you’ve eaten, the Odeon IMAX cinema is also worth a visit! Have you been to Liverpool One? What was your favourite thing about it? Let me know by leaving a comment below.
