10 Restaurants I would like to visit in 2017

You might of seen my recent post, my favourite restaurants of 2016, where I mentioned I couldn’t wait to continue trying new restaurants in 2017. I’ve put together a wishlist for 2017, if I get close to visiting all these places, I will be very, very pleased!

1. Malt Shovel, Brearton

A country village pub known for its hearty home cooked gastro pub dishes. Perhaps one to visit for Sunday lunch?

2. The Hare restaurant, Scawton
Winner of restaurant of the year at the White rose awards, run by award winning Chef Paul Jackson, the fine dining experience sounds like its right up my street!

3. Ye Old Sun Inn, nr Tadcaster

I came across the award winning Ye Old Sun Inn after finding it on a feature on the best restaurants in Yorkshire on Country Life, being fairly local too, it’s definitely worth a visit.

4. Pipe and Glass, South Dalton

This Michelin star restaurant is at the top of the must visit list. We came close to visiting this multi award winning pub when we visited North Star Club just down the road, an absolute must for this year.

5. The Plough, Scalby

After seeing a few reviews of this cosy looking restaurant/hotel, its certainly left me wanting to visit, especially for the amazing looking Sunday lunches!

6. The Man Behind The Curtain, Leeds

We’ve actually booked to go here about 6 months ago! I’ve heard very good things bout Leeds’ only Michelin star restaurant and can’t wait to experience it.

7. Star Inn, Harome

This one has been on the list a while! We were lucky enough to visit The Star Inn’s sister restaurant, The Star Inn City for a Michelin night back in November with Andrew Pern. If that’s anything to go by, we’ll be in for a real treat!

8. Vice and virtue, Leeds

A relatively new restaurant to Leeds, opened in Autumn 2016 offering their take on fine dining. Reviews so far have been very positive, one I can’t wait to try.

9. Yorke Arms, Pateley Bridge

Another of Yorkshires Michelin star restaurants, its scenic Yorkshire setting makes it look an ideal choice for a weekend getaway, the food on offer doesn’t look too bad either!

10. The Pheasant Inn, Harome

Another highly sought of hotel/restaurant in the North Yorkshire village of Harome and winner of Small hotel of the year. in the White Rose Awards. Head Chef/Director, Peter Neville is known for providing top quality local sourced, seasonal dishes.

As I live up in the area of pateley bridge I would highly recommend the Yorke Arms for a meal – I had my engagement party here and it was something out of this world, the food we experienced was delightful! Can’t wait to hear your take on this gorgeous place
