My Favourite Restaurants of 2016

I’ve been lucky enough to have visited some amazing restaurants in 2016. I’m already looking forward to what 2017 might hold and being able to try some new places, tastes and flavours. In the meantime, I thought I’d share with you my favourite restaurants I’ve visited this year.

The Box Tree, Ilkley

A Michelin star restaurant in Ilkley in North Yorkshire serving modern French cuisine, one of my preferred choices when it comes to dining. Each course I had really was to die for, especially the loin of venison main course. One restaurant I’d definitely visit again! Read my full review here.

The Refectory, York

Set within the historic Royal York Hotel, I loved the setting and feel of this restaurant with its glass roof that lets light flood in. The quality of the food 3 course Sunday lunch menu was really good, its my number one choice from all the pubs and restaurants I’ve had Sunday lunch. Read my full review here.

Iberica, Leeds

A Spanish restaurant serving authentic tapas dishes. Quite simply one of the best tapas restaurants I’ve visited. From the red berry gazpcho starte to the Iberico pork dishes, all courses were just outstanding. Read my full review here.

In Leeds its got to be Ox Club and The Swine that Dines for mid range and The Man Behind the Curtain (obviously!) for blow the budget. I enjoyed Iberica and took full advantage of their opening offers!! It is a bit too formal for my liking though. If you are in London and love tapas i'd highly recommend Jose on Bermondsey St. Simply the best.
