My Favourite Products of 2016

This year just seems to have flown by don’t you think? Since I started my blog in July, I’ve had the opportunity to test and trial all sorts of amazing different fragrances, skin care, hair care and styling and finally not forgetting beard care products! I really can’t wait for 2017 and seeing what fantastic new products might come out! But here I’d like to share my favourites from all 4 categories from 2016.

There are a few that I could of put here as my stand out favourite from 2016, but there’s only one that really stands out. Jazz Club by Maison Margiela. Although not a newly released fragrance in 2016, it was new to me and the first of the Margiela range I’d tried. I described it as perfect fragrance for evening wear. It’s staying at the front of my collection into next year!

Skin care

My choice of skincare product goes to one of the first skincare ranges I reviewed, Zeos for Men. I was particularly impressed by the face and body moisturiser in this range. It’s light, hydrating, leaves your skin feeling soft and has the most amazing masculine fragrance.

Hair styling
2016 has been a good year for getting to know some brands I’ve previously knew little about. I was really impressed by Scaramouche & Fandango’s range of hair care products when I trialled them a couple of months ago. For me, their pomade is one of the best I’ve come across, giving subtle shine but great hold, exactly what you want from a pomade.

Beard care

I’ve tested and reviewed a range of different beard grooming products from beard washes and shampoos to beard balms and oils. My selection for beard care goes to one I recently reviewed, Harum Scarum beard balm. Its a great product for moisturising the skin beneath your beard and helps soften the hairs. Not forgetting the fantastic modern barbershop scent it has.
